The Marked Men Series - Jay Crownover
In honor of her new book coming out, I decided to read the Marked Men Series and boy, was it a good decision.
Let me tell you how this started.
I read Rowdy about 6 months ago - I know it's not the first book, I am aware - and I fell in love with Nash, even if I didn't know his story. I put it as a TBR (To-Be-Read) marker and I let it be.
I come accross Jay's facebook page and I realized she is releasing a new book, and not only that, it's an m/m book which happens to be my new literary obsession, so I decided to buy a bottle of wine AND lock myself with the series as a companion.
Don't worry, I ate and took showers.
But enough about me.
Let me tell you about these books.
The men are some seriously Alpha guys - and we love that - but they all have backgrounds that bond them. They are not united in familial blood bonds, but in a bond forged by interests and experiences. I loved that I could relate to every single one of their issues: family, sexuality, inclusion, expectations; they were all things that made the characters real to me.
I, personally, found different things to love about the characters: if you love a loyal Alpha, then you are going to love Rome. If you love a female with a backbone, you are going to be obsessed with Shaw. If you like a female with a "no chill" attitude that is willing to risk it all for what she believes in, then Cora is your girl.
And if you love tattoos and piercings, and love discovering the stories behind each one of them....
THEN THIS SERIES IS FOR YOU.
Hope you enjoy these books as much as I did,
Happy hunting,
Xoxo,
Laura P.
